Youth Music Workshop
A 6-week small-group music education program for students ages 11–17.
Through guided instruction, collaboration, and performance, students explore improvisation, rhythm, and creative expression while learning from professional musicians.
Program Details
- Ages: 11–17 (students slightly outside this range may be considered based on experience)
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Format: Small-group workshop
- Includes: Mentorship, ensemble playing, and a final student showcase
Workshops take place at Harlem Music Studios and through partnerships with schools and community organizations across New York City, bringing hands-on music experiences directly to students.

Student Showcase
At the conclusion of the workshop, students participate in a live showcase for family, friends, and community members, celebrating their growth and creative work.
School Partnerships
The Shareef Clayton Music Foundation partners with schools, community organizations, and cultural institutions to expand access to music education for young people.
Through these partnerships, the foundation brings workshops, mentorship, and performance opportunities directly to students while also welcoming young musicians into the creative environment of Harlem Music Studios.
